Bassani Exhaust

This is a great kit and I highly recommend it. The quality is great, and fit is almost perfect. The performance gain is sweet, don't know about the numbers, but it was by far the biggest gain I have made. The sound is good too, a low idle, and real sweet sound when at wide open. I do plan to swap to a Flowmaster original 40 series, 3" in, dual 2.5" with exits behind both rears real soon.

This is the new Y-pipe. The factory set up is very restricive. This has a larger diameter pipe and only 1 high flow cat, as opposed to the stock set up with 2 inline cats. You can see the connections here as well, for the O2 sensor and for the EGR tube. The pipe is 2 1/2" and has a 3" cat.

This is the 3" cat-back. It will exit in the stock location, but angles back. Also included is a 4" crome tip.

Here are some pictures after the install. When I did this I also replaced my oil pan, motor mounts, and heater and radiator hoses. Surprisingly everything went very well, only major problem was I blew the drivers side header gasket and had to replace it. Over all I am very pleased with the system and the new performance I now have. The sound you hear on the home page is a clip of a Bassani system, but mine sounds almost like it. It sounds very quiet at start up and idle, but when you get on it, people really look because it gets very loud, but not a annoying loud.

Here is a few shots of the headers after they were installed. You can hardly see the passenger one. That side was very difficult to put on, but that was expected. The drivers side was alot easier.

Here is the installed y-pipe. Very nice fit. You can also see the new oil pan. It is a Ford part that I painted with a high temp aluminuim paint.

Here is the muffler, it mounts in the stock location with the stock hangers

They had free shipping on this, which was great, the total weight was over 100lbs, and 2 of the boxes are over-sized items. Here are the Bassani equal lenght ceremic headers. They are very heavy, and the quality is awesome. The flange is very thick, and smooth, no left over welds and they will make a good tight seal with the aluminum gaskets they provided.
